Presidential Candidate George P. Buttigieg Reveals How He Plans to Run for Congress

George P. Buttigieg, who served as mayor of South Bend, Indiana, from 2010-2015, recently embarked on a mayoral campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives, and now he’s offering a fly-on-the-wall view of his candidate’s race via podcast called “Mayor Pete’s Guide to Running for Congress.”

“I’ve got a play-by-play on the 10 states, the 10 candidates, and you get to meet with them and help plan how you want to win,” the mayor tells the production team.

He even adds an intro song, “Vote Pete P,” which then plays as his guests arrive.

This week’s episode is shot outside his campaign headquarters in South Bend, and features Buttigieg talking about his campaign and listening to campaign plans from U.S. Rep. Joe Neguse (D-Colo.) and Andrew Kennedy, his congressional and Senate rivals.

“You listen to an hour of people talking about how they think their lives have changed and what they’ve learned and where their road would go, that’s also the story of Congress,” Buttigieg says.
