In the ‘Me Too’ era, more people are becoming aware of the damaging effects of sexual harassment and assault. And they’re taking bold steps to change the world for good.
Each year, the CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute honors extraordinary people who have made a difference through selfless deeds. They’re determined to bring about change in every part of our lives.
From traveling to war-torn countries to breaking the bad news to refugees in a theater so hard that most audiences walk out of the theater with their tears in their eyes, these heroes are doing amazing things.
There are 15 different people being recognized for their extraordinary work this year, but CNN is most proud of the 10 people they selected for the ultimate CNN Hero Award: a $250,000 grant for their non-profit organization.
From aiding an Alabama county with poverty problems by teaching culinary arts and healthy living to their students, to making sure others know their names by building a library for refugees, these heroes are all making the world a better place.
We’ll show you a few of their stories on tonight’s edition of Good Morning America.
